BEHAVIOUR
CONSULTATIONS

Dr Ledger provides assessments and management plans for pets experiencing a variety of behavioural and emotional issues.

Your vet may have recommended Dr. Ledger's services if they feel your pet could benefit from her behavioural therapy.

If you are seeking assistance and your vet hasn't already submitted a request, please have them fill out a behaviour request form here.

PROCESS & BOOKING LEAD TIME

All owners who have a valid email address entered on the request form will receive an email information package detailing Dr. Ledger's services and rates. Clients can respond back via e-mail or speak with our office staff to schedule a consultation and answer any questions.

Appointment wait times vary, with most being conducted within 2 weeks to 3 months from the referral date, with priority given to urgent cases.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR CONSULT

Your consultation will include a 1-hour virtual call or phone call to go through your pet's history, followed by a second-hour, virtual or in-person session at a designated location. The consultation will take approximately 3-4 hours.

The second hour is hands-on, with a discussion about the concerning behaviour and tactics to address it.

All consultations include the above as well as liaising with your vet, an initial report, and a recommendation to book a 30-minute to 1hr virtual or in-person follow-up.
